By His Excellency Frederick Seton James, Companion of the Most Distinguished Order of St. Michael and St. George, Officer Administering the Government of the Straits Settlements, etc., etc., etc.
F. S. James,
Officer Administering the Government.
Whereas Max Friedman, a Native of Russia, has applied to me, the Officer Administering the Government in Council, stating that he has resided in the Straits Settlements, for two years, that it is his intention to settle within the said Settlements, and that he is desirous to become naturalized as a British Subject, and on enquiry, it appears to me, the Officer Administering the Government in Council, expedient to grant the prayers of the Petition:
This is therefore to certify that the said Max Friedman has taken the oath of allegiance, and that all the rights, privileges and capacities of a naturalized British Subject, within the Colony of the Straits Settlements, have been conferred upon him, under Ordinance No. 11 (Naturalization).
